Herons Gate
Overlooking the glorious Hope Valley. Herons Gate started life out as a neglected but spacious post war 'chalet style' bungalow.
The new owners added acontemporary glazed wing to afford better views of the surrounding valley but the house still lacked 'wow' factor.
Steeply sloping ground prevented traditional solutions so Balcony were approached to proffer a design.
The resultant balcony in hand selected, structurally graded and pressure treated Scandinavian redwood afforded an eagle's eye view over the magnificent Derbyshire scenery.
Designed to the clients brief with an blend of contemporary and classical detailing such as 45 degree turning moments in preference to harsher right angles and clean, unturned balustrade spindles and posts the finished project perfectly compliments both new additions to the property and its more traditional period features.
