Sycamore House
Sloping terrain dogged Amanda Hamilton's attempts to make the garden of her elegant three storey home useable for her three young daughters.
Over a distance of 30 meters the ground level dropped over 90 feet in three distinct terraces - a gradient equivalent to over 50 degrees!
With a design brief to add as much useable space to the garden as possible while retaining a sense of proportion to the surrounding area.
Balcony produced a superb freestanding, engineered deck that added over 40 square meters to transform an otherwise precipitous garden into a beautiful area to entertain guests and for Amanda's children to play.
